Yes, that's a classic reference, was selected in a video I saw as one of the most suitable and classy watch for a man if you were to wear only one watch.

Personally, I prefer the 5 digit refs, and the one on your wrist is in my top 5, and one I hope to add one day.

I had the 5 digit. Feel the face and bezel were just aesthetically nicer but obvious,y the bracelet is inferior to the modern 6 digit.

So we share the same opinion...

Now, as for myself I considered the watch itself of a higher rate than the clasp. This is why I prefer the 5 (or four) digit with (for me) better proportions. After all, as a user, we more frequently see the dial than the clasp.

I also prefer the aluminium insert.

But each person its own opinion. With either model one cannot be wrong as already said.

Preference does not mean that I dislike the newer model, just... preference.

Try TT SD43 with gold and black. Absolute beauty.

I bought the 6 digit black. I think I prefer that.

Six digit clasp is a class above the tuna can version.

I finally saw one of these in the metal before my AD closed due to Covid. I liked it much more than I thought I would. I wouldn’t give up my SS version for one, but if I couldn’t get a SS version and the TT was available the chances I’d buy it are much higher than not.

I must agree with the 6 digit crowd. I know there have been a lot of pics but I couldn’t resist posting.

These watches look so good to be in black and blue, obviously my preference is blue but black is a close second.

I have other more rare and hard to get pieces but I always find myself coming back to this, it’s an all around stunning watch in look and feel.

I haven't seen a gold Submariner that I haven't liked, but I went with the 116618 LN. The ceramic bezel and more substantial clasp made the 6 digit version hard to beat.
