Break in, hoping for help

We recently had a break in, and lost two watches. A GMT master II ref 126710 serial# T2598651, and a vintage Date Just ref R68058R bracelet B8389, Serial # 9631663. We have a police report, and notified Rolex.. We were told this forum may be a good place to notify the resale community. Thanks

Welcome to the forum, though I am very sorry for the circumstances which brought you here. Posting the reference numbers and serial numbers here will help anyone doing an internet search to identify the watches as stolen. Though in all honesty, only a small number of people recover their stolen watches. My I suggest you write a new post in the 'Watchout' section of this forum. It is more likely to stand out there.

So sorry to hear about your stolen GMT Master II Rolex serial number T2598651 and your Datejust serial number 9631663. (Reposting model and serial numbers to up the search count for Google and other search engines if someone Googles the serial numbers). Sorry some humans suck!

That is awful, sorry to read it, OP.

I hope you can somehow recover your GMT Master II Rolex (serial number T2598651) and Datejust (serial number 9631663).

Welcome to TRF and best of luck.

Break in, hoping for help

Me too. I’m sorry this happened.
Yes, TRF postings do help raise the Google ranking if a future seller or buyer checks online.

I hope you have the good luck that I’ve had when my home suffered the same circumstances. Lost 4 in a burglary, have recovered 2 (1 by police alone, 1 by RSC and TRF help)

So adding my hopes that you recover your Rolex GMT T2598651 aka GMT Master II serial number T2598651 + Rolex Datejust 9631663 aka Datejust serial number 9631663.

Can you add a post that includes the actual model numbers of each Rolex? And perhaps and decent photos?

In my search, this thread is up to #3 in Google search with the model & serial number.

Here is what I hope you can do:
-Get a copy of the police report.
-Contact Rolex US in NYC to report the theft.

They will ask you to submit a copy of the police report. Their database is now linked globally and anyone submitting one of your watches at a Rolex Service Center will cause it to be seized.

I have won back a Platona that way and can’t stress enough how valuable my TRF thread helped as well as the many members here who added their helpful comments. Including a dealer here in US was also a TRF member and made a go-between contact for me with the unaware dealer and buyer in UK when Rolex RSC seized the watch.

OP, sorry to hear about your stolen GMT Master II Rolex serial number T2598651 and your Datejust serial number 9631663. As others have mentioned, get a copy of police report to RSC and I’d also suggest registering on https://www.thewatchregister.com/register-loss/

I’m still hoping against hope to recover my stolen Seadweller serial number 4Z707024
