Can the rolex sprite gmt be converted ?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has converted a sprite to the opposite hand (date and crown at 3 oclock) or if its even possible.

Unless Rolex have made it impossible, i assume the dial and movement need to be flipped and a standard date wheel fitted ?

Does anyone else think it would be a great watch?

Thanks

A standard dial and datewheel should do it.

I would think this is all it’d take.

Why bother converting it? It’s a quirky piece if you are right-handed.

Why would you want to wear that on your Left wrist? To me, it’s for lefties, and only those lefties, who wear their watches on their right wrist, because not all lefties do. I don’t, so The Sprite isn’t for this southpaw….

Wouldn't it be easier to just put the green insert in a regular GMT

I think this would be the way to go.

The VTNR colors are great IMO, but flipping the case would be a pain in the butt, I'd imagine. Get a mid 00s black GMT & swap in a new bezel?

The crystal is also mirrored (coronet).

I'm not a fan of the green on it, feels like an eBay special....

I would leave it exactly as it is - I think it's kinda cool in it's own way - but admittedly, it's not for me - too many other watches I want to add first.

But like why? At that point just get a black GMT and an aftermarket bezel?
