Our Take
The 16220 straddles between the perfect blend of vintage and modern. The ref. 16220 was among the first five-digit offerings within the Datejust family, and importantly one of the first to also use a sapphire crystal. This example features a stainless steel "engine-turned" bezel and a sought-after ivory or cream dial. This watch is the perfect blend if you're looking for a more sporty semi-vintage Datejust.

In excellent pre-owned condition, this specific ref. 16220 exhibits minimal signs of wear. Its movement maintains precise timekeeping within COSC standards, and the jubilee bracelet shows little stretch. Overall, it presents a great neo-vintage example of the classic cream-dialed Datejust.
