i know there is the watch cleaner you can buy in the US tried to get it but the customer service was non responsive after i tried to pay and it did not let me due to shipping.

Does anyone know of a good watch cleaner kit available in uk

Any watch I'm wearing which is waterproof and not on a leather strap gets washed whenever I shower, usually 1-3 times a day. Others get cleaned when it's obviously needed.

Whenever I’m driving through the car wash I hang my arm out the window. I get the premium wash too.

I rinse it off after cycling for 5 hours or so and givea proper clean once a month with Wristclean and toothbrush. It is an amazing product, really makes the watch shine.

Yeah, it's called luke warm water, some soap and a microfibre cloth of your choosing. A specialist cleaning kit really is not necessary

lol i was hoping for something that gets the results that this wrist clean gets i think soap leaves not the best residue or feel however much its rinsed.

A lot of these watch 'cleaning' kits come with a polishing cloth, that makes the watch shine but takes away metal, for that reason alone I would steer clear. Nano clear is one I’ve seen, as well as Polywatch have their own kit. I know I am repeating myself, but I wouldn't bother with one of these, get RSC to properly clean and polish every 10 years.

Just wash all the soap off, pat dry with a paper towel and give it the once over with the microfibre cloth. Essentially this is what any cleaning kit will do, less the polishing.

Depends. Every few weeks in the winter, every week in the summer due to sweat and sunscreen. If I've been in salt water that day it soaks in something while I shower.

I usually give it a good cleaning 1x week. WristClean is good stuff.

I wash mine every 4-8 weeks depending on the amount of wear. Just lather up with some Dawn and give it a quick brush with an old, soft toothbrush. My old hollow jubilee band got a little more attention as there was many more places for the dirt to hide.

I don't own a Rolex (yet), but my Omegas get a scrub once in a while. I don't wear them when I'm working on stuff that would get my hands dirty, or when I'm playing golf, or when I'm at the pool/beach, so they aren't exposed to dirt/sand often.

Was told that water and watches don't mix when I was a kid, I'm scared of getting water in them (even though they are all waterproof to a degree).

Tough to answer since I rotate watches often, very often. Sometimes 2 or 3 watches a day.

But I try and do a mental tracking and wash with water and Dawn after the equivalent of about a week’s wear.

I do believe it’s important to regularly wash your watch for proper maintenance but I don’t do anything elaborate other than my method mentioned above. I believe it’s a “Padi approved” method as well.

I wonder if those who comment against the likes of Wrist Clean have used the product? It's clearly NOT soap and water, Dawn, Dove, Fairy or otherwise ;)

Anyway for my 2 pence worth, it brings on a shine to watches and jewellery. I just use a soft tooth brush to get into the nooks and crannies, rinse off in chlorinated water, which comes out of the tap. Job done.

Apologies if this has already been hashed out but is it ok to put your watch in one of those ultrasonic cleaners?

I hear some people say you can only put the head of the watch and not the bracelet in and others say it’s fine for the entire watch?
