I've owned 5 different Daytonas since I've started my collecting journey, and while I do think that is definitely the most special Rolex there is (followed by the pepsi)
for some reasons I've never been able to stick to the same Daytona for longer than 6 months, it always feels like I'm missing something, which is probably the date. Sometimes I wonder if I HAVE to like it just cause it's so hyped, so I decided to take a break from it gave a chance to the AP, granted I'm still very much in the honeymoon phase but so far so good, the whole watch has so many elements that you can get lost admiring, Daytona is not nearly as interesting. RO is bold and sharp I can see why it doesn't appeal to everyone, Daytona is definitely more classic and has an overall much "safer" design, I can always go back, or save a little and add it to the collection later on |

Seems like a logical move. Scratch the RO itch, kept a chrono function and add a date.
I recently made a similar trade. Had the same 116515 and traded into a gray 15510 50th. No regrets. The RO finish and dial are fantastic. |
