Shame these things happen more often than ever. Hope the victim recovered. The watch is
replaceable.

Lack of SA. The guy didn’t bother to notice someone getting in his personal space.

Really? A 25 year-old POS beats what appears to be a much older man and that’s your take? I’m all about SA, but there is only one person at fault here, and we all know who it is.

People want your Rolex, something every wearer needs to understand. When you are unable to defend it then carry insurance and just hand it over, which might not have helped this guy anyway.

they don't care. They aren't punished. He'll be back on the streets in a week. In California they blame the victim for inviting it. Like being an attractive nuisance in legal terms.

They don't know it's the punt they take, they are the bottom of the food chain.

Reminds me of the California councilwoman who blamed Toyota for making their catalytic converters “too easy to steal”

Lack of consequences for the thugs leads to severe consequences for the victims. Even if he had been carrying protection, he was blindsided and completely overpowered. Hope he recovers with no permanent injuries.

A few years ago I thought Idiocracy was a funny movie. Today it seems like a proven prediction.

But maybe tomorrow we'll think that those filmmakers didn't have enough imagination, because they might think that they over-caricatured the foreseen idiocy of the future, while actually under-estimated it.

That was an ambush. The victim didn’t have time to react.

I hope they catch the guy.

Be Careful Out There!

At least the bail amount was semi-appropriate.

That is truly sad, and glad things are getting better, i keep hearing they are on TV news and by Washington DC folks. So we should expect to stop seeing this type of illegal activity in the USA very soon. Be careful out there for now, it'll be safe soon.

There is really no such thing as "situation awareness" once you are in a particular location. At that point, you are at the mercy of the thieves.

Glad they caught the SOB and I hope he rots in jail.
