16710 is one of the best watches (not just from Rolex) ever made.

- Good looking
- Durable case, durable movement
- Slim case profile
- Precise movement
- Strong history in aerospace - Apollo missions, Bell x-1 etc etc
- Can have 3 distinctive looks with different bezels
- Looks great on the bracelet and on a strap
- Relatively affordable for a rolex
- Has a useful complication that's actually used

Seriously, what else is even there?

Another great option is 97200 bracelet from ceramic Sub. It's fully compatible with 16710. That way you're getting Glidelock.
Thanks. Did not know about the steel reef. And the glidelock possibility is a plus

definitely think the 16710 is one of the best modern-ish/neo-vintage Rolex's ever made in terms of a daily tool watch. I've been searching for years for the perfect birth year watch because I want to do it the right way for a reference that I love

I haven't been wearing mine much lately but I happen to be wearing it now when I found this thread.
Nice to see the 16710 love on full display.

I ve had one for a long while. Enjoyed wearing it but has sat in the safe for a while now, wearing it once in a while. I always assumed resale would be easy and fast. I m finding it not so. Ma
ybe I m missing something? Thought a well documented GMT would go fast. What s going on ? Because I don t need money I haven t pursued letting it go anywhere else.

I recently bought mine for $11895 from DavidSW and the biggest thing for me was the 2023 service and guarantee.

Best watch in the lineup. Mine's just back from the RSC in PA for its second service since I bought in new in 1997.
