Its sad how many have to die to own a Rolex

This is another one of those "My dad died and left me this watch I know nothing about" stories. No feedback on the last year, wierd serial and model number issues. Opening picture is better than I can take, but he can't get a picture of the serial number...what say you...if it smells like pooh...

It is interesting to hear some of these stories. In this instance, if this story were real, it is too bad the son can not appreciate something that belonged to his father for keeps!

Too sad!

A parent's life long collections often come up for auction on eBay. It is easier to settle an estate that holds cash as opposed to items of unknown value.

I bought some very nice sterling silver pens from an eBay estate auction; the guy collected silver objects not just pens and it was all on the block.

I don't know what my children will do with my stuff but I have told them be careful because what looks like an old leaky fountain pen is actually a national treasure, near perfect Parker Mandarin yellow Duofold from the 20s. I hope they know what a Rolex is. Some of my old pens are not worth much so I can see an auction deciding.

Kids, got to love them. My house looks like an antique shop.
