Thank you for the warm welcome Andy, TR and Phil!!
And yes Phil...i can see (although it's only day 3 with my 048)... the strap hunt is on!!

I've discovered that the selection of straps in South Africa is very limited and ordering a strap through my AD will take 2-3 months to arrive ...(a friend of mine and absolute PANATIC is giving me the 101 on "other means and ways" in the meantime)... however, i've decided that all future traveling abroad will definitely have to include two additional "inclusions" in the itinerary : the nearest Panerai dealer, and the contact details of Panerai friends in the area for a visit!

Panerai truly turns strangers into friends!!!

A friendly hello to our Rolex friends...

Hi Harold!
... even though i realize it's still early days (day 4 to be exact) ...
Still ecstatic and enjoying the PAM 048 oh so much!!

Don't see a Panerai mentioned in your collection?? ...once you've tried it and "experience" the unique look and feel of a Panerai watch... you see that it is absolute 'time-keeping poetry in motion"!!

Hey we have this in common: all very passionate about our watches!!

...Must mention Harold and Terry that i did have a look at Rolex a week before my purchase, even tried one on and it was a really beautiful watch...so suggestions are always welcome!
