(Newer) Omega Constellation Questions...
Seeing the 18th birthday Constellation present caught my attention. I had never seen this version of the Constellation before, really like it , and had some questions:
1. I notice that the bezel has 2 "claws" across it. Can these be removed, and what are they for? 2. The Constellation is very sharp looking, but I am not a fan of the Roman numeral bezel. Is there a replacement (smooth or regular number) bezel that can be fitted on the watch? 3. When did this style first appear? Looking on the 'bay, it looks like there are similiar versions from the 1980's around. crombie |

The 'claws' originally did have a functional purpose but are decorative now in the newer models.
I wrote a couple of pieces on the originals of the clawed models here and here Claws in earlier and later models cannot be removed. A bezel would have to be custom made for later models and as far as I can see it would be impossible to replace on earlier models. Cheers Desmond Quote:
