Are they really. My 2012 catalogue has the same price as the Breitling website, as of just now. The price on the website for the Blacksteel is still the RRP when I purchased it a month ago. Perhaps it's not accross the entire range but only some of the models

It something that I don't like to see. A few years ago they had a price reduction on some of the line.

When I go into a Breitling distributor in Sydney and enquire about any of their line, they immediately drop 20 + % off the retail price, only just after opening my mouth.

So that should equate to 30 + % from here on in?

Maybe they realized $5700 for a Galactic 41 is a bit too high.

I believe the reason for the price drop is that Brietling's offerings for the past few years have not produced good sales.

Just my opinion.

It does make sense as it would do for all the main Swiss watch brands.

The market is not really bearing the new prices.

£5600 for a Navitimer SS, no chance at all.

£5600 for an Explorer 216570. Doesn't seem right either.

£65,000 for a Patek 5960? Whilst I remember when this one was late £30ks and I even saw the invoice price to the dealer (still not recovered from the shock-low-shock) ...

... well perhaps Patek can stand the daft prices since they are produced in such small numbers and there are still those who like spending big bucks.

Apparently it's in response to CHF strength vs GBP.

It's a UK only price reduction. Don't get your hopes up USA members, it's not for us.

Personally I'd be pretty pee'd off if I'd just bought something to see the retail value drop like this. Regardless of the reasons behind it and it's true they may have been punching above their weight recently, nevertheless I think it devalues the brand. Could not see Rolex ever doing such a thing.

I did get more than 10% discount so I'm not that annoyed. Besides, I wonder if it applies to limited editions. Generally this always happens to me. I buy something full price and next week it's in the sales.

I passed by a jewelry store in miami lakes the other day and they had a sign that said Breitling on sale 25-50% off. I think it was called miami lakes jewelers. I saw thru the window they had a bunch of them. Im more of a rolex man, but I always keep an eye open.

Were they an AD? At 50% I'd imagine that's for preowned watches.

The fine print said 50%on gold watches 25% on others. I know they were an authorized dealer up to last year, but with this kind of sale I would think they are getting rid of the line. I literally saw the guy putting up the sign.
