Quit bragging Dennis.

They do seem to be going upwards and in a quick way too.

Pahh. That's ridiculous. Do you think it's rubbing off from the DRSD foolishness that's going around?

I really wanted a red sub for a while, but when the prices passed $4k I magically lost interest. Not EVEN worth it IMO. Not saying they aren't nice watches, they are, but not at that price.

Mav has every right to brag, his might be the nicest I've seen! I promise it's nicer than the one in that auction.

Looks like as time goes by here, Dennis, it's really looking like you made the right decision on that trade.

I agree Micah, its a very very nice watch but not worth the money that some ppl are asking for it. Its like the SS daytona, I wouldnt pay too much for that either.....

Sorry I did not mean to brag at all >>

I am as amazed or more so than most here. I will admit it makes me feel better about my trade but I am very happy w/o seeing that price. Wow, I had no idea they would go that high. I guess it's time to buy another vintage. =) maverick

Oh cripes no Dennis, Micah and I both know you weren't bragging, not in the slightest!!!!!!

I was teasing and giving you props for getting such a near perfect example when you did. That may be the best Rolex trade I have ever heard of pal.

I guess I'm a bit perplexed about the red sub/DRSD thing to begin with. Is the only difference between those and other models of the same general era the printing on the dial?

Yep. I don't get it either, other than it was limited so that makes it so collectible.

Plus the amount that were changed over to regular dials during a normal service.

This is an example of people with too much money and not enough sense. I guess they're the same people who will pay 20-50% over list for an SS Daytona.
