+1 I got a Blue TT Invicta to see if I liked the look. I had people think it was a Sub. Then I got the Sub, have had it for a while, and still mistook a Blue TT Invicta for a Sub from a side glance. I actually had the Sub on, which was really embarrassing for the mistake!

Miss the White Castles. Same location that my friends & I would head off to after a night of clubbing in the City. That's the one off Kennedy Blvd near Journal Square, right?

No girl that I have ever met points out a watch and then just want to have a "long talk" about informercials...
I hope she was hot...

Ha. I did not get her number. My amazing girlfriend was across the street pounding sliders.

And she's the best watch conversationalist ever.

Amazing how girls always seem to pick the worst time to flirt.
It's good you have a nice gal though, so behave.
However I do have the urge to say....
Move along folks, nothing to see here...false alarm. Just some hippie talking about infomercials.

It was this watch that convinced me that I could indeed return to mechanical watches and not go insane and the next mechanical I bought was my 114270 and eventually I bought a real Sub, a 14060M.

I still have that 8926OB, even though the movement went south from winding it too often, I guess, when I stopped wearing it.

I knew someone who put a "Rolex" crystal on one of those. He warned me against buying Rolex watches online because they could be a fake. I didn't tell him I purchased 4 online after that comment...

I'm not sure what you mean by a "Rolex" crystal.

Anyway, when you're a TRF member, you always know how to find a real Rolex online.

I guess that was kinda vague, sorry Phil. He told me that when he got his crystal replaced, the watchmaker put a Rolex part crystal on. I didn't delve too much into the topic as I was still new to the Rolex world and just nodded my head. He could've just been blowing smoke up my rear, but he mentioned it to a few people during my last deployment.

I don't know for sure either, but it would be something of a miracle or serious craftsmanship for a Rolex crystal to fit an Invicta Pro Diver.

Even if one would fit, a Rolex crystal would cost more than twice the price of an 8926, which can be had for under a hundred dollars almost anywhere.

Good story, though, even if it is a tall tale.

Yeah, that's what I assumed when he told me the story. I was still a novice at that point. The "tall" tales stopped when I showed him my SubC (now sold).

There's nothing like the real thing.

I am currently constructing a building in Jersey City so this was interesting. Especially since I deal with traffic control officers in town and they say it is somewhat scary in some areas at night.
I would fe a firearms fanatic as well if I lived there.
Where is the White Castle ?

Family of mine who live a cloistered Life in south Florida with plenty of money, all wear Invicta. They all live in fear of being robbed when they exit their gated community. The women in the family apparently collect diamond jewelry yet they wear Cubic zirconia and keep the real stuff under lock and key at the bank. Go figure...
