Lol Steve! Looking dapper.

Since I can't take pics at home anymore, I feigned interest in a sweater at a store so I could take a pic in their mirror......

SOOO... You're risking your relationship, to post pictures of yourself on TRF.. OK... Don't get me wrong, your posts have actually grown on me. You do have great taste, minus the Jesus sandals. But it seems like you are risking a lot, and for what?

She is unreasonable and irrational. I don't want to rock her boat, but I like to artistically express myself through what I wear and photography. So, this is a livable solution for the time being. If it isn't in her face it is not as big of an issue. She didn't forbid it; I just didn't like that she was stalking me and then holding it against me. LoL...

Besides which, her problem wasn't with TRF. It was with Instagram, so I deleted the account and take pics only occasionally now when she is not around...

What would be healthy? To let her stifle my creativity and live only the way she or someone else wants me to live? To enrage her by being confrontational about it? To bully her into letting me do what I want by getting angry myself? There is no clear cut solution where both people are 100% satisfied.

I think quite a lot of us get it in the neck from our other halves from time to time for any number of hobbies we may have..... just part of life and being a guy in a relationship. I get it for travelling too much, overseas property interests, spending too many hours in the office, golf, photography, films, cars plus others ......and of course too much time spent on TRF.......

Clearly, I don't say anything when she's chatting to friends endlessly on the phone or shopping or reading her magazines..... but hey..... life's too short..... and of course it gives me time to do what I want.........

So QC's answer of minimising the "in her face" time spent on such interests seems a sensible solution....... I do the same......

Well normally if you are with someone you love, you encourage their passions not discourage them. And a healthy relationship, surely doesn't involve belittling of one another on a public forum. Some things are better left behind closed doors. Again I'm not passing judgement, and would have known nothing about your situation until you posted it on here. I hope you can continue to express yourself, and your relationship can find a happy medium.....

Who is belittling who? Seems like you are the only one belittling people when you find the chance. You most certainly are passing judgment. People inquired about why I deleted my Instagram and I told them. There is nothing belittling about it. You made judgments about my relationship disguised as inquiries about my relationship, so I explained my actions.

nothing unhealthy about that situation - feigning interest in goods in a retail store in order to take pics to post here - brilliant!

Actually, how about large windows in the street? Then there's no risk of sales staff catching on, your wife will still be none the wiser, and you are supposedly free to take pics outside, unless it's some security agency or something Might make for some cool back-drops in the reflections, and less 'run-of-the-mill' than the daily mirror shots indoors. Just a thought...

Take care out there!

Carry on Q, seems I hit a nerve. Hope all ends well. PS. I've been married 20 years, relationships go through many highs and hopefully not too many lows..

15 years here. Judging people tends to strike nerves. People are fundamentally different and often their fundamental relational patterns compliment each other, which can both facilitate and irritate. Relationships work well when you learn how to navigate each other's space with minimal irritation and optimal facilitation. No one should have to lose their self to accomplish this...

It seems Jason you are the only one passing judgment around here and making things personal.

It really isn't necessary. Just my 2 cents...

As they say on Duck Dynasty, "Happy wife, happy life." Simple but true. Some things just aren't worth arguing about.

Since this is a public forum I think I'll way in. You are being provocative for no good reason in my humble opinion. We are talking about attire here. You know nothing, as far as I understand, and about these people or their relationship beyond the few extra words he offered up, perhaps unnecessarily, and then the extremely generous follow up as he owed you no response.

Thank you Carl

Perhaps you should get yourself a (vintage) Cartier Tank, it would make a nice addition to your already stunning vintage collection.

Good suggestion Bas, I actually did take a look at vintage Cartier's but so far I haven't been able to find the good one. Someday perhaps but since I've got my UN I have decided to save for something else than a tank watch (which is the type of watch I'd like to buy if I'm going with that brand), it sure is on my list though.

I really really miss my YG DD white roman dial. I haven't been able to find a great deal on one with the new clasp and heavier bracelet so far, such as the earliest serials when they just switched it up. I never should have traded mine...
