LV rotor
Any other automatic I have ever had I could hear the rotor turning inside if I held it up to my ear. Some I didn't even have to hold to my ear to hear it. I cannot for the life of me, even in dead quiet, hear the rotor move in my LV; it is as if a rotor is non-existent. Is this normal? There is probably a thread for this somewhere in the depth of the forum but I can't find it.

Greetings, there is a thread that was started here on 9/7/2007, titled "question about rotor noise, help needed", where many members say that they cannot hear their rotor. For what it is worth I cannot hear nor feel the rotor in my new SS Sub date. I think it is completely normal & enjoy your watch. Don

I can hear the rotor in my LV very clearly if held directly to my ear, louder than most of my other watches.

I cannot hear the rotor in my LV which somewhat surprised me when I first bought it. I was going to add a post to get some answers but opted against it. My Omega Seamaster is a sharp contrast where I can hear it quite loudly!

The best way it to remove the bracelet and shake the next close to your ear then you are going to hear it
I did the same thing with my watch Most of the times when the bracelet is attached to the watch people think that they can hear the rotor but sometimes it's the springbars of the bracelet that makes the noise

It's the hat
Sorry Joshua, but I noticed the hat over your ears, maybe that's the problem.
