I've been travelling and went to adjust the time on my GMT2 and the crown is too tight to move! Any suggestions?

I've used a soft cloth and a pliers to unscrew some crowns. Those thin round rubber things that are used to open lids on jars may help too.

I was scared I might damage the crown using pliers but guess I will have to try that.

Try a thin piece of rubber first to get a better grip with your fingers.

Tight crown 101:

For the elderly and Millennials, ask someone Between 30 and 70, gender doesn't matter. For all ages in between, get a better grip and turn counter clockwise.

If you want more grip on the crown, a rubber TUBE is better than flat piece.

Surgical rubber hose, vacuum/washer hose from car parts motorfactor, silicone fuel hose etc but avoid PVC tubing.

Had the same issue on my Platinum Yachtmaster. Don't risk damaging the crown like I did. Just take it to any AD. I took it to Haltom's Jewelers and they had it loose in less than a minute.

Well, we should figure out what caused the problem in the first place also. I'm going with you tightened the crown not finger tight. You cranked it down pretty hard ? I usually just go with the first sign of light snugness is good.

Stuck as in closed too tightly? Or stuck as in it will not pull out to the setting position?

Two completely different situations before you try leverage and tools.

I wouldn't try to do anything except gorilla it with your fingers to try to break it loose....if it's truly tighter than that, using a piece of rubber and pliers is about all you can do @ home but not something I recommend due to perhaps grabbing the crown too hard/damaging it through the rubber or slipping. My watchmaker (like most watchmakers) have these pliers that have rubber tips....that is the proper tool for a job like this to avoid unnecessary damage.

Ok thanks for the suggestions. A friend of mine suggested running it under warm water and that worked like a treat. I am now able to unscrew the crown. ��
