Rolex Books??

Hi guys a little help please,

I am after incresing my knowledge of the brand and would like some book recomendations please. I know I can get all the info on the net but sometimes it just nicer to sit down with a book rarther than a PC screen.

I am more interested in the sports models and in particulary the vintage Subs etc..

I have had a look at Amazon that does list a few, strangely however most seem to get slightly negative reviews and as they are a little pricy I thought it may be best to ask here before I make a purchase.

Any help much appreciated.

I splurged on the Submariner Story.

Would love the GMT book as well.

These are up to date...

Look at the flash pages that will let you browse selected pages. Phenomenal!!!

"The Rolex Report" is an excellent book written only for Rolex watches.

It is not out of date, it is a good manual on vintage Rolex watches.

The manual helped me out on several issues with my Rolex watches.

The information is still up to date, and I have the newest manual.

The newest manual meaning many, many years old.

It's seriously out of date and John has said he's going to update it.

As a matter of fact, at the last GTG in Tampa he said he will update it any year now.

Do you have something newer than the 4th edition? - Infoquest Pub; 4 edition (July 1, 2002)

That's not up to date in my book

Clogger, I heard you...Spendy! But no equal.

You just do not understand, not many Rolex books exist that Identify Rolex watches like this one.

It takes years to compile the information in that book. 2002 is not that long ago for reference books.

I am more interested in Vintage sports models so maybe the Rolex Report will be ok for my needs.

Does the Sub book come in English as well?

Yup. English & Italian in the same book.

The Book Safetrends is all on about - The Rolex Report - is in English and is good...Big section on how to spot a Fake. Not as helpful IMO.

Another is "Vintage Rolex Sport" models:
