Another Ranger ...?
Listed as a 9050 Ranger, I had taken the bait until I looked closely at the "R" engraving on the rotor. Anyone else think this looks a bit suspect? Case looks to be authentic, mvt does too exe the rotor. I actually made an offer on it before I looked at the rotor. I have a counter offer and if it's real I'll take it. Any ideas?

Not expert in Ranger but have been looking to buy one. The printing on the rotor seems a bit weird from other pics I have seen for Tudors. Also I have read somewhere that there is no "Rose" ranger.

Thank for the reply Qtaro. Maybe tudorman will chime in here. I was hoping for a few opinions here before I made a purchase. No rose rangers, wish I knew for sure.

My advice would be don't bother unless its provenance is cast iron, its the most faked Tudor out there, and solid info on what one should look like is a bit sketchy. Some reference books even show a red Ranger which does not exist.
I had been looking for one for ages to use as a daily wear, last one I bought was a complete dud, fake through n through. Its a shame because they are a really nice looking watch. If you are looking at one, get Tudorman to have a look first.

no chance. look at it from the back of the case. the back of the lugs are mint. no trace of an endpiece in sight on the lug-backs. the E also looks kinda long. the dial is mint. hands mint. the engraving on the caseback exterior also has that light look to it. luckily they only got $500 for it. Hey thanks guys,
I'm with you, too many things look wrong. Good call on the lack of wear on the lugs! I completely overlooked that. Rotor looked like they engraved it with a dremel. And I don't like losing 500 bucks on a fake! Cheers, Bill |
