Blue on blue, heartache on heartache
Blue on blue now that we are through Blue on blue, heartache on heartache And I find I can't get over losing you I walk along the street we used to walk Two by two, lovers pass And as they're passing by, I could die 'Cause you're not here with me Now the trees are bare There's sadness in the air And I'm as blue as I can be Blue on blue, heartache on heartache Blue on blue now that we are through Blue on blue, heartache on heartache And I find I can't get over losing you Night after lonely night, we meet in dreams As I run to your side You wait with open arms, open arms That now are closed to me Through a veil of tears Your vision disappears And I'm as blue as I can be Blue on blue, heartache on heartache Blue on blue now that we are through Blue on blue, heartache on heartache And I find I can't get over losing you So far the lume on my month-old Sub-c is still blue as it can be. |

When I bought my 16600 (T) ss, the lume did not glow. I asked my friends about this and they told me that happens. One even suggested I have the lume redone. Well one night after working all day in the hot sun wearing the 16600 I looked over at my night stand and there it was blue as the sky!!??

The "Blue" lume is called chromalite by Rolex. To me it has a bit less intense glow at full charge than the green superluminova, but does seem to last a bit longer (or more consistent I guess might be a better way of putting it). There are other makers using blue--the Omega ploprof as an example. I had a brief flirtation with onw and I have to say the blue luminosity was amazing. |

Agree
My Sub C does not seem as "bright" as my older versions but it easily lasts all night long. When I look at the watch in the morning - it seems to still be glowing at about the same level as when I went to bed and is easily readable.

Use a blacklight to bring out the luminescence and yours will look the same. Its not photoshop, just good photography techniques.

Actually there was no photoshop in this shot. As you can see from the second hand, this was about a 7 second exposure.
I needed 7 seconds on this shot because the room was not well lit and not very dark either because I wanted the rest of the watch (dial and case) to be clearly exposed as well. I was just playing around with the camera settings when I took this shot, but it is pretty close to how my lume looks when I go from outdoors in the sun to a poorly lit room. You wanna know which lume really really really sucks? The Milgauss GV lume is one of the worst I've ever seen. I still love the watch though.

Regardless, referring to your original comments. Photoshop was not used to process the color.

I recently added a DSSD to my collection and made the same observation. The lume looked more blueish green the blue when the watch face was exposed to light for a longer period of time. However, if the watch was exposed to light for shortly periods of time, the lume looked more blueish. I did compare the lume of the DSSD to other Rolex models in my collection and there is a definite difference between the lume colors.
