Bracelet Adjustment
After wearing my watches for a couple of weeks I have come to realize I don’t like the bracelets too loose. I wanted to play around with some variations, but didn't want to bother my AD. I know it’s pretty minor, but I’m pretty happy I was able to adjust my own bracelets without scratching or ruining them.
On the GMT IIc I ended up removing a link, but then added back a bit of length by moving one set of holes on the inside of the clasp. On the Milgauss I didn’t remove a link, but merely shortened it by one set of holes inside the clasp. The Milgauss was not as loose as the GMT, likely due to the fact it has a much thicker case-back. I did these adjustments without extending the easylink, so that I’ll still have some play in the summer. I learned the following: - a link is 1 centimetre - the easylink extension is 1/2 centimetre - the holes on the inside of the clasp are 1/3 cm apart This allows for some very precise bracelet adjustments. I also learned that my eyesight is deteriorating as I age. |
