Another AD visit at lunch

This time to fulfill a catalogue request of a fellow TRFer...

And they had the TT blue YM. Naturally I had to try it on and JJ, the blue dial really makes this watch. I've now seen it in white and the grey dial but neither can hold a candle to the blue dial. It MAKES the watch.

I also tried on a rolesium for comparison. While both are identical in size, I found the TT wears bigger, likely cuz of the YG bezel. However, I did find the YM waaaay too bling for me. If I were to chose, no contest I'd go for the rolesium.

Interesting to note, the TT YM is only CDN$500 more than the rolesium.

Thanks Johnny....you've just made my day, weekend and the rest of the bloody year!!! (Psst....another bloomin' excuse to post a pic!)

Yes, the TT YM here is NZ$9,800 (what I paid out-the-door) and the SS/Pt. was NZ$9,450. The price didn't bother me....the gold bezel, links and blue dial just blew me away!!

Forever and ever, I was in awe of the TT blue face/bezel submariner that my dad owns. That was going to be my next watch. Until I saw JJ's TT yatchmaster. I have not seen it in person, but can just imagine how awesome it is. IN the states, the TT is about 350 US dollars more than the platinum.

The TT Blue Sub was my first true love....I really loved that watch so dearly, words cannot describe my feelings when I had to part with it just so that I could finance the TT YM which I instantly fell in love with when I saw it at Mansor's in June of this year.

Here's a pic of my former TT Blue Sub.....a very pretty watch. But if it's a toss up between the two, then the TT YM wins hands down. Also remember, the TT YM has the same TRIPLOCK crown as the Sub.

I've seen both of them in the AD display case. My God that TT blue YM is a knock-out! SS sub for me first though.

Right choice, Tyler. At this point (or in the near, affordable future), the SS Sub is a much better choice for you. When you get to JJ's advanced, doddering age, you can consider something as bling as the TT blue YM.

Hey Ed,

At 59, I'm neither advanced nor doddering....I assure you.....I can still belt out 60 push-ups with both hands and at least 3 on each arm. I can't see too many guys at this age doing that!!

But why anyone would want to do that is beyond me.

And that coming from a man who has trimmed himself down so nicely on the Weight Watchers regime?
