Zenith shopping trip

After having just bought my wife a new watch, I am almost committed to treating myself to a new toy without the guilty feeling. So I'm on the hunt for my potential next piece.

Went for a stroll today at the Zenith Boutique to try on a couple of pieces I've been coveting for a while now. I thought I knew what I wanted going in but when I got there and tried on a few pieces....I was stumped and couldn't decided.

Prior to going in, I thought the Captain Winsor Annual Calendar Chronograph in silver was it.

But I decided to try blue/black dial and it also sang to me as well. Although both are same watch, the silver dial was more subtle and dressier - so will still look right years later. The blue/black felt sporty and modern yet ok with a suit. However, was a bit concerned the look will quickly feel dated in the years to come.

I was also looking for just a regular chrono as well and saw the El Primero Rattrapante. Tried it on and it felt right on my wrist.

I like the annual calendar function and find it quite useful. However, the split second chrono was just so coooool. Decision, decisions!

Anyhow, just I thought I'd share some pics. I still haven't fully committed to anything yet as I want to carefully consider as I won't be buying another peice for a while after this. What do you guys think?

I dont think you can go wrong with any of them. Good luck with making up your mind but this is the most fun part in buying a watch IMHO. Tryng them all on and deciding

To the OP: My personal opinion -- they're a big too big for your wrist. Otherwise, can't go wrong with Zenith ;)

I chose the El Primero Rattrapante out of the three pretty quickly. It looks great and I also don't have a chrono, so... this one is interesting enough to warrant a trip to the AD to have a look. I also like the big date (love them on the ALS and GO).

the split second is not only nice but so special too

It really is so much more than a simple chrono. And look at the prices other brands ask for this complication

All 3 are nice but I would take the split second
