Thoughts on this Red Sub?
3.6 MK6 dial..
I've set up a an inspection time with the seller. Thinking about buying it with a face to face deal. Thoughts? Issues?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/301111929943...84.m1423.l2649

Good luck. Looks like the seller is from a pawn shop or diamond/gold broker.

In reality...just a little bit of red font on the dial.
Welcome to the world of vintage Rolex collecting...

Lets get back to the question at hand.
I saw this one on eBay today myself, not the usual crap you see there. I liked it hope it works out for you. Please keep us posted! |

Looks OK to me, but the photos are awful. I'd need to see clear, sharp pictures of the dial up close to comment further. Good luck with the meeting.

I agree. I'd print a few clear pics of the dials shown on the doubleredseadweller.com site to take to the meeting if you're not completely familiar with that model. Examine it closely and good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Looks like a fine example right there. Case and bezel seems in good shape, not to mention the nicely faded fat font insert. Just make sure the dial (printings and all) matches to those reference picture in doubleredseadweller.com
Good luck! |

That case is very fat. Seems priced very low compared to other
Piece in that condition. Hard to reach any conclusions from those Photos. I'd want to spend some time matching the case to the insert And dial. Tell us how it turns out. |

Looks like a very nice timepiece but understand that it is in dire need of a day (or two) at the spa for conditioning..
You can tell it has some years of neglect showing corrosion in the rehaut area, crud build up between the crystal and insert. But all this can be treated. Full overhaul, new crystal, treat the corrosion, hopefully no parts need to be replaced... and you got yourself a very nice example! Good luck and let us know how it goes.. |

Maybe seller pulled it for "our guy". I look forward to his feedback to this thread.
