What can you tell me about this watch?
I don't know very much about vintage Rolexes, but I recently acquired this 1955 6305/2 and I would love to know more about it.
A few things I'd like to note: You can't see it in the pictures, but "JOSKES" is imprinted on the inside of the clasp (I didn't see it before I bought it) and "$6744" is hand inscribed inside the casing (you can see it if you zoom in on the pictures of the inside of the casing). I'm not sure if these inscriptions have any significance. I'm really excited to hear more about this watch. Thank you very much! dial ..
crown and glass are later replacements .
( pristine dial was signed only " SWISS " , pristine crown had the " + " sign and the pristine glass was shorter and more domed ). $ 6744 most likely is the abbreviation of a service made. |

Can you tell me more about the "abbreviation of a service made"? Is the red Datejust font and roulette date wheel uncommon? How about the "officially certified" text? Does "JOSKES" have any significance? Thanks again for taking a look at the watch. Very helpful. |

btw, did the original watch have a gold crown? If so, I'd like to get that replaced. If the original crown was gold with the "+" sign, anybody know where to get one for this watch? Thank you!
