If the Gods of Patek (aka Mr Stern) read this... I dream...of...!!!
Ok i'm crazy but who knows??
Mr Wonderful Stern... I've been dreaming of this watch since its presentation for the 175th. The 5575G I'm not a big collector (meaning i don't have the means yet to spend hundred of thousands on my daily desires, aka the 5970s/5270s, the 5204s, the 5370 etc) I don't have the willing, or the means, to pay double its price on chrono24. My collection is composed of only rolex (sub, daytona and iwc galapagos). But i still dream of looking everyday into this chilling moon. I still dream of which city i'll think of visiting when reading the worldtimer cities. And i still dream of those little stars that are sparkling and would make me feel a little star in the Patek universe too. i'll also tell you why acquiring THIS amazing worldtimer has a meaning to me. I'm even ready to knock on your office door to express my love to the Patek brand! I'm going to be 40 in a few weeks and I wanna reach this milestone with this incredible watch. After praying to the Gods of Patek, aka, Mr Stern!! :) I will pray my own and let you know all if any of them do really exist!!! A big fan :) |

I hope that Mr. Stern, a TRF member no doubt, PMs you in a few with some good news!
But in the meantime, why not look at the 5110 and 5130. Such great watches and possibly my next (after I take delivery of a new one this weekend!.... Rolf). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

All that was needed to be done was to let your local AD know that you wanted one. Of course, it had to be done on the day it was announced.

I did it but at a salon, and they told me that without a buying history, they would not be able to allocate one for me. They normally privileged all their regular customers, which i understand perfectly. I was even told that during the presentation, those who attended it, were able to only purchase one piece of the anniversaries pieces. And they had to choose the one they wanted that day.

You have to persevere, explore all angles, dont give up and be patient, very patient.
Without a Patek history you can forget about the salons. If you really want it do some homework and as I mentioned: explore all angles (except the illegal ones - your time of enjoyment would be short lived). |

Don't want to get your hopes high but to be honest, your best chance is probably in the secondary market. I think by now all popular 175th anniversary pieces are already accounted for.

Realistically
This is a piece that completed its allocation shortly after the anniversary.
Chances are virtually zero to get one now from an AD. However, if you really want one, there is nothing wrong with buying from the secondary market. Right now prices are high as supply is limited as owners don't want to be considered flippers by Patek. But over the next couple of years I would expect prices to come down. 1300 is a lot of supply. |

I picked up my 5575 this week, so they are still being delivered, but I ordered mine the morning after the 175th collection was shown.
My only other Patek is a 5712, so they were definately available to shall we say more modest purchasers but you just had to quick on the draw I suppose. I really don't expect the price premiums to hold now that there are so many are out there. As a previous poster said 1300 is a lot of watches of the same dial, no matter how special it looks. |

I know for a fact that Stern only listens to TRFers with 1K posts so you know what you have to do...

Fact is you're way late. Retail pricing train is long gone. Now seems a terrible time to buy secondary, I bet in 2-3 years you can get one for less premium than today. Good luck

thank you guys, i was afraid that my audacious post would have meet some bad reactions!
ahaha AK797!!! I'm more lurking than usually posting but if true starting from now i will post every minutes!! De66 i talked to few of them, and those i know already had a long history with their AD. I'll keep looking to find one for a reasonable price (+10/15%) at secondary market, i know 1300 is not as limited as many other pieces so I hope price will go down in the next couple of month. Dodgydave! Congrats! wear it well :) |

I was saying dream on to the notion that Thierry Stern is going to step in and grant this guy a 5575g after reading this thread.
I remember a thread about a guy with a long story about he really wanted a dufour simplicity to gift his father and was astounded he couldn't get one You can't always get what you want....... At retail |

Well I'm sure it will be available on the grey market or second hand, I mean it's not like they made 10 of them, already a few TRF members got one, so I'm sure sooner or later you can get your hands on one one tip would be to find the members who got one and PM them that if ever they decided to sell it would be nice to contact you, sure some of them will flip it some day for a very expensive piece, sure it's not easy to get but not impossible…
WOW magical, google search and this: https://www.chrono24.com/en/patekphi...-id3171094.htm |

Sorry, more like this: https://www.chrono24.com/en/search/i...earchexplain=1
There's 12 of them, ok they are at a high asking price, don't know the retail when it got out, sure it's a great watch bit have a feeling that the guys who sell them are crazy about the price, have a feeling it will even up with a little time…. |

I mean they made 1300 pieces, be patient and I'm sure you can get a mint one at a good price in 1-2 years...
