Icon18 Canon meets the LV

Love my new Cannon G9!! It was a beautiful day in Southern California, so I decided to get outside and work the new camera. I admit I am NOT a photographer, but the G9 sure helps with amazing pics!!

I love Canon cameras, I use a simple point and shoot SD1000. I like your pictures, especially the Koi in the pond.

Thanks Eric. I just did a double take on the Koi, and that fish looks like it's half out of the water! ...I guess I better lay off the Hennessy X.O. for now and call it a night.

Eric, those are awesome pictures. I also bought a G9 recently but I could not produce the same quality photos as yours. Would you kindly share with us that what the settings on the G9 when you took the shots?

Romi, I would be happy too. Basically for the indoor shots, I turned on the macro setting and turned the flash off. The existing lighting in the room provided some unique contrast with the watch resting on a black back pack.

For the outdoor shots, I had all of the camera settings on "auto." It was a bright, sunny day and the camera seemed to very well with the auto settings. Other then that it was just "dumb luck," as I am far from a photographer.

There are other TRF members here who use the G9. They could probably provide you with better advice. TswaneNgun takes some fantastic macros of his panerai's.

Good luck and keep snapping the pics!!!

After the second year you have to do minor surgury to get the Lotus to bloom again. Nice pond.
