My Pillow

So I listen to a lot AM radio.

And I don't sleep overly well, even though it's been much better as of late.

Anyway, after likely hundreds of commercials on AM radio about the "my pillow", I decided I had to try it.

I tracked the delivery similar to how I would an incoming watch. I was just so super excited. I held out for years, and each moment that it came closer, was torture. I was so excited when fedex sent me the confirmation email.

We got them yesterday. I could not wait to go to sleep last night.

And I find the pillow to be nothing short of terrible. My head basically hit the mattress by the middle of the night. It does not come back into form and it most definitely does not stay cool all night.

My wife had a similar experience and even woke up with neck pain.

Are we alone here? Anyone else have a "my pillow"? If so, how do you feel about it?

If you read a lot of the reviews many people are not happy with.

Amazing what a jingle and infomercial can do.

Someone gave me one as a house warming gift once and it went into the trash the next day.

Mike Lindell's bank account is getting bigger and I'm still looking for a good pillow ;)

Just picked it up and sqeezed it in Bed, Bath and Beyond. I knew it wasn't for me. I thought they were pretty crappy. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

Ha the CNBC commercials almost got me too. Went to order them from Amazon, but read the reviews first. They weren't great so I ditched it. How's the return policy?

But it's the Official Pillow of the National Sleep Foundation....

If you can't trust an infomercial, who can you trust?

I'd file a complaint with the National Sleep Foundation.

Wow!! I was just talking to the wife yesterday about it! Haven't had a good night sleep for years, and we were going to get one. I guess I just saved some $$!

Don't they have a money back guarantee if you don't like it?

Send it back! I can tell just by looking at his infomercial that the pillow was junk and lacks enough fill to give any support for me.

Interestingly enough, I tend to love reading reviews.

Didn't think to in this case. Live and learn. Never again.

Yep, I looked into it briefly but was put off by the many negative reviews.

You are correct sir. It's not.

I was definitely swayed by the marketing.

If you haven't had a good nights sleep in years, and you snore, you might have sleep apnea. Something to consider.

Yeah, it's more that I wake up every morning at 3:00 am. Have seen doctors. Mostly anxiety from what we can tell.

But like I said, it's been much better lately.

In regards to the pillow, my dogs are loving it....

Never heard of it but I've found after spending hundreds if not thousands that the best pillow for me is the cheap ones that are firm as I'm a side sleeper.

I'm sure you know Seth but the only cure for this is exercise ideally 5-6 times a week. Without it I end up in a similar place

I use the side sleeper pillow from brookstone. Love it. I lost it once and replaced it ASAP. To this day I have no idea how I lost a pillow. It happened at a dinner party. I honestly think one of my friends took it. Weird.

Just saw the ad on tv after reading this. I've seen it probably 50 times but just noticed as he (very softly) pats the pillow to show how supportive it is, his other hand is under the pillow pushing it up for resistance.

Did two things that really improved my sleep.

One was to start wearing Breathe Right strips. I was breathing through my mouth at night almost exclusively and they retrained me into breathing through my nose. Now I only wear them when my allergies are acting up or a cold's got me.

Two was to purchase an incline pad to put under my pillows. It gives a slight elevation to my head and along with the nose breathing, has all but eliminated my snoring.

Here is an issue I had, maybe there is a possible link in your situation?

I had an issue of incompatibility with my pillow when I first purchased a temperpedic mattress.

I would begin my sleep with my old feather pillow adjusted to how I wanted ... But through the course of the night the temperpedic would settle in as the body temperature warmed it up (normal for memory foam)... My feather pillow didn't settle the same way and my neck was being stretched awkwardly through the night... After 3 months I started to think about the pillow and called temperpedic, they sent me two temperpedic pillows and neck issue was immediately resolved (both mattress and pillow were now in sync)

I used that for a while. It helped for some time. Then my body would fight it and require more to go to sleep. When it was time to get off of it because it was no longer effective, I had a HORRIBLE couple of weeks trying to get used to sleeping without it.

Current research is showing that the standard 10mg tablets are really way to much and causes more of an addiction problem than giving you correct REM sleep.

I've tried those before, about 8 years ago before I "found" the gym and man it was awesome. Knocked me out cold in 20 minutes. That said, I was too groggy in the am so it was a short stint.

I think they should be an absolute last resort.

Never been a good sleeper. Cervical disc fusion long ago doesn't help.
Always looking for a good new pillow!

Any ideas?

Yeah, it's not a route I'll likely take.

My sleep has gotten better recently. I do workout a bunch. Can't imagine what kind of basket case I'd be without it.

I use mypillow and I'm actually pretty happy with it. I find that it may be a little fluffy, but my neck pain totally went away. My wife likes hers too.

My dad hates his....
