Got Tudor?

Do you have a red headed stepchild to the Rolex brand? Well then, show the world!

I was told once, but I do not know if this is true, that TUDOR uses the ROLEX "motors" that fail the COSC test.

That was back in 1982 when I inquired about one, I even still have the catalogue at hand.

Not true. Vintage Tudors were made in the same factory as Rolex utilizing the same Oyster case, crowns, and bracelets. The "motor" , or movements, were Rolex modified but produced by ETA.
Late model Tudors, although still produced in the same Rolex facility [AFAIK], have moved away from the traditional Rolex aesthetics to stand on their own as a brand. However, the vintage Tudors w/ Rolex attributes are the references that collectors value most.

Thanks Jim - yeah the Tudor brand is great aint it? I actually love to hear people talk the brand down as Rolex wannabees etc as it means there is more fine examples for the likes of us to choose from!

Thanks, it's really a cheap imitation croc that I tried on my Breitling. Didn't look right but looks pretty good on the Sub I think. Been carrying the bracelet around now for two days tring to get to the watchmaker's to have a link removed. I'm afraid to mess with that.
