What’s your favorite 16710 combination?

We all are aware of the GMT Jubilee craze going on. You can’t hide from it these days. But lately I’ve been enjoying my two 16710’s even more than my 126710 so i thought it would be fun to change one of them out to a jubilee.

The fun thing about the 5-digits are how many different combinations you can create! I ended up going with:

Holes/Coke/Jubilee and No holes/Pepsi/Oyster

I also have a black insert so I could add that to the mix. My jubilee can be worn on either GMT so I can get a lot of different looks here!

What do you think? What combination would you rock?

Also a special thanks to a TRF member who wished to be nameless for helping me source an amazing NOS Jubilee for my GMT. Many thanks my friend!

What’s your favorite 16710 combination?

I have an A serial 16710 Pepsi 99/00

It’s a holes case, non SEL but has Swiss made Dial and superluminova

Wonderful watch

I would personally go with Pepsi with jubilee and Coke on oyster but you can't really go wrong with either.

If I remember correctly you've considered selling your 5-digit GMTs for new 6-digit Pepsi, now having all three what are your thoughts?

My favorite is currently holes case Pepsi on oyster. This may or may not be a sacrilege but I have been enjoying the brushed steel modern oyster bracelent from my 39mm Explorer on my 16710. It makes the old school watch feel totally modern and the clasp is the only giveaway it is not period correct.

So I’ve had my 126710 for about a year. I was an early buyer shortly after it’s release. At the time I had previously owned a 16710 (actually the same one I have now, the no-holes F serial) but I had sold it away.

For as much as I do enjoy the 126710 it doesn’t see a ton of wrist time. I have no plans on letting it go but I don’t think it compares well with a 16710 as a Pepsi. I’ve become very fond of the 16710 and it may just be my favorite Rolex model. Since acquiring the 126710 I’ve picked up these 2 16710’s and although I may be a little GMT heavy I think they’re all long term keepers.

What’s your favorite 16710 combination?

For me it's pepsi insert, lug holes, tritium dial on oyster... and a quick set date

If you would be so kind, what model bracelet/clasp combo are you using?

Have 4 inserts. 2 Pepsi, one nicely faded salmon, a coke and a black. But wear this mostly!

For me it’s my factory papered 16710A on oyster, I just love the deep red w black bezel since it’s introduction carried all the way from the 80’s 16760 era.

I enjoy every combo but my fave is Pepsi on jubilee. But since I no longer own a jubilee the oyster will have to do.

Cool to see you got back to classics . I'm afraid I have to close this thread now because it's causing some serious jealousy attacks when I look at all those GMT photos
