Sweat and straps?

How do the straps hold up to sweat? I want to wear the watch not baby it like a museum piece. Specifically, can I do outdoor activities with a PAM or will the strap start to stink like my son's laundry basket?

I sweat quite badly and had a leather strap on an Omega and it only lasted me a year, at over a nundred pounds to replace it I went for rubber instead. Had it two years and looks like new, not sure about PAMS straps as never owned one.

I sweating but not much. I feel so comfortable weared straps, specially calfskin material.
My wrist is allergic with steel bracelets. That's happen when I'm usually weared Rolex.

Watches had leather bands for YEARS and years
very few had metal and people wore them while working
and everything.

Yes it will absord, thats life...
It will help give the strap and aged look and give it character.
