With what accuracy should I be happy with my Seiko 5?

Hi I have a £200 Seiko SKX007 for activities and locations where it would be dumb to wear a Rolex, and it keeps great time. Loses about 3 seconds pd when left on a winder, and gains about 2 seconds pd when I’m wearing it.

And simple to regulate if you are not getting +/- 5 sec per day, no need to live with +/- 20 sec per day

a 7s26 would be expected to be accurate to within -20 to +40 seconds per day. You can regulate it make it even better.

I had one years ago and it was +14 seconds a day. I was pretty happy with that

CaliberCorner dot com provides manufacturer information for various calibers.

On that site there is no indication of the accuracy of the 7S26 caliber used in Seiko 5s.
Accuracy of the successor to the 7S26, the 4R36 caliber is -35/+45 seconds/day.
Accuracy of the the 6R15 caliber is -15/+25 s/d. (This caliber is not in the Seiko 5. This is included as evidence that the manual is likely to provide information if it is available or relevant.)
This reflects data that I have seen in the manuals, available from Seiko, for these calibers and indicates what you should expect with your Seiko 5. You may be able to regulate your Seiko 5 to be within tighter limits than specified here.
