Right box for old Airking
Evening all,
I'm trying to get an idea for what the correct box should look like for a 58 Airking. It feels like a bit of a lost cause as I can't find any consistent pictures or info so thought you splendid lot might have an idea. It seems from what I've learnt that they may well have come with any number of different boxes back then, so if it's period correct that might be all that matters. Cheers, D. |

Back in the 50's practically everything was an option or could be traded for, including a box.
Nobody back then expected the box to be re-used. Rolex did begin to add coupons to the box that instructed you how you could take out the card-board inserts and use the box as a cigarette box.
