Watch pouch questions

Are these mainly used when you have to store Rolex in your pocket or something? They don't seem all that protective if used for travel or maybe people use for home storage? What do people mainly use these for?

I think these are given when a Rolex is returned from a service (some people get boxes others get pouches, or both. Not sure if this depends on the watch or what you've spent on the service) after that they can be used for whatever you want i suppose but you're right, they're not very protective for travel etc.

I use it often. So practical as it protects the watch inside a bag or travel case. Even in my laptop bag.

For travel, if packing a watch in luggage, they aren’t as practical because they are a uni-tasker. I suggest this instead because it serves two purposes and protects a Watch even better.

I use them all the time. I store my watches in them when they go back to the bank and they also work well for me when I travel.

I’m not sure what the rest of you do to your watches when they are in your carry on

Much easier to store them away with these than inside the boxes. I just keep the boxes at home they’re not really worth much.

I put my watch in a green suede pouch after putting the watch around the center hard piece whenever I’m not wearing it. I think it’s actually pretty protective for storing in a drawer, safe or in travel bag.

I wouldn’t ship one this way without additional packing.

Empty suede pouch:

Sealed up ready for storage:

I have a service pouch that I use when changing watches to put the other in the safe.

Easier than getting the box out and packing it away

Thanks, hadn’t thought about that.

I’d never pack my watch in check-in luggage though, but if I’m just travelling for a couple days this can work for my carry-on.

Watch pouch questions

I always have an empty pouch in my laptop bag, in case I pick up a watch during my travels

Fortunately I’ve had to use it several times

1000% agree. Just carry-on if packing an extra watch.

Rolex ones are kinda crappy but I have some more robust ones from other companies that serve their purpose quite well (i.e. protect watch in bag while travelling).

Watch pouch questions

I use Rolex service pouch, is great for that.

Ask your AD for one, at least mine does not have any problem to give it to customers.

This is when a proper padded pouch comes in handy !

Rolex pouches aren't my favourite solution. They're loose, not padded and cheap.

Try a watch pod. They're also cheap but significantly better for protection and storage. I use them daily.

I transport my watch on my wrist, not my carry on! Why do people carry multiple watches on a trip???

Folks, be careful of watch pouches.

Some of them (like Ben Bridge has) have the exposed "retention snap" on the inside that is NOT covered with any fabric, so it can scratch your watch.

Socks? Much better as quick-storage.

I prefer the hard plastic container they are shipped with. They protect your investment more then a pouch or a sock from blunt trauma.

Oh, and I forgot to mention you can pick them up cheap online. I think $5 on that auction website that is very popular.
