Spinning the crown in the wrong position...damaged gears?

This is stupid but I was just winding my ND sub just now and not sure if I messed up my watch or not

I pulled the crown out and spun it like 20-30x until I noticed the seconds hand wasn’t moving....I heard the winding clicks as usual though. I pushed the crown back in and pulled it out and winded again and it worked

I probably didn’t pull the crown out all the way or maybe I pulled out too much? (Like between the winding position and the time adjustment position)

Did I damage the watch or is it all good? Found it odd that I heard a winding noise (gears moving) when I was spinning it the first time and nothing was happening. I’ll obviously pay more attention next time while winding

It's unlikely that you damaged anything.

That’s interesting.

I bet it happens. Watch is mechanical, things like that can happen
