Anti-Reflective Coating in New DJ36?

Do the new DJ36 come with a anti reflective coated cyclops, like the 41mm version? Looking to update my 2008 model.

I want to replace the crystal. I'm asking if Rolex is using an AR coating in the new DJ36 crystals or if they are the same as the 1162xx models.

Oh. I thought you were getting rid of the 2008 watch to buy a new one

I was gonna say “just keep the older one!”

I have both 36mm 116234 and a 126233. I'm not sure what you're on about because both have anti-reflective cyclops on the date window but the rest of the sapphire is reflective.

This has always been the case with Rolex. It was even the same on my old 16233. If your 116 DJ doesn't have an anti-reflective coating on the date cyclops I would get it checked by RSC...

Lol if your 116234 and 16233 have anti-reflective coating on the date cyclops, then you should definitely get yours checked out. That’s the first time anyone has ever claimed that those models have an A/R cyclops. Rolex only first introduced the A/R cyclops in 2007 on the 116710 buddy.

I did not mean to upset you so please accept my apologies first and foremost.

I don’t own the 16233 anymore so I can’t double check. It’s likely the glass was changed by RSC years ago.

Although, I purchased my 116234 from AD on February 1st 2019. It’s blue dial with jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel and roulette datewheel. Have a look at the many posts I have done to check for yourself, in fact I’m wearing it right now as I type and the date window 100% has an anti-reflective coating on it, as does my 126233 which I purchased from AD in September 2019. Again, the 126233 can be seen on my posts.

It’s possible your 116 was built in 2007 (being a 2008 model) and Rolex probably hadn't switched to the AR cyclops at that point?

Anyway, to answer your original question yes the 126233 has an anti-reflective coating on the date cyclops but not on the entire glass as is usual with Rolex.

No Rolex has any anti reflective coating on the crystal on any model.

The only AR is under the cyclops where the date is. Rolex dont use AR on any of their watches on their crystals.

Day I bought my 116234 pic taken in AD. Reflection all over the sapphire but not the date.

Ask for a new crystal at your friendly AD watchmaker. It's the same crystal part number with AR suffix.
