Ideal version of Sub41 :-)

Happy New Year, dear colleagues. Need Your help.
Want to buy the new Sub as my next daily driver.
Very hard choice between 4 versions:
1) Black SS, 14,7$
2) Green SS, 20$
3) TT Blue, 17,4$
4) TT Black, 17,4$
My turn has come and my AD offers me any of these Subs for such price.
I understand with my head that it is better to buy TT (maybe even Blue, than Black), but for some reason my heart chooses the black classic steel version.
Help me to decide, please.

Get the one you want … preferably at MSRP.

My favorite of those, although not saying it would be yours is the LV!

Looks amazing when it looms when still able to see the green bezel.

Holds its own, even in company of RM11

Is the AD charging above MRSP?

Prices in Russian AD are higher.
+-MSRP - TT model. That’s why there is hard choice.

Green as in green bezel only? Why is it $5.3K more than basic black? The green bezel is $600 more in Canada.

The only Sub I like is black SS, so that's what I bought, you should be able to make up your own mind. Green will have the best resale if you care about that.

Must be, there’s a huge difference in price between black and green SS

The green sub is more collectible and more rare…..it sells for 5k more on the secondary market……….it’s only been like that for 20 years almost starting with the original kermit

Why would the AD offer you these over MSRP. Not sure if your definition of AD and mine are the same.

Get a Black SubDate 41 from the AD at MSRP.

I’m wondering the same thing. Maybe that’s not USD???

If it’s a real AD, those aren’t the right prices.

If it were my choice I’d go with the no date sub.

I would pick the green SS, but not for 20! That's not right.

Agree comments re green but if buying grey and the bubble bursts you could end up regretting that !

Classic black as daily driver. It is most versatile.
Green bezel looks goofy in many circumstances.

Yes, it’s in USD, for rare SS models our AD makes higher prices.
F.e. TT Bluesy or Black is +- European MSRP. TT not ideal for daily use?
Bluesy is too shiny?

This, and it’s way less than the ones you are being offered at only $8,950 USD.

1) Black SS, 14,7$
Great piece but a tad boring to me personally

2) Green SS, 20$
Black Sub with a weird milky green bezel

3) TT Blue, 17,4$
Fantastic looking IRL, that dial is on another level

4) TT Black, 17,4$
Beautiful too, but less spectacular than the blue dial

I like the Starbucks but I couldn't justify paying that much for it. If you don't mind TT, go for Bluesy. Looks even better IMO. Yes, it catches more attention which you might not always want but if you don't care, go for it.

P.S. To everyone saying how those aren't AD prices, OP is in Russia. Russia only has one AD network selling Rolexes. Mercury. They have an MSRP and an unofficial price that you can get a watch at. Any watch, no matter the waitlist, you get it. Just at a price that's about the actual market price. They don't allow Rolex to list MSRP on the website in Russia. And on their own website they don't list MSRPs for models that are desired.
P.P.S. VOT, there are 3 AD locations in St.P., DLT, Rolex boutique and grand hotel Europa. Would you mind telling me which of them you have a contact at? Cause my SA didn't suggest over retail. And there might just be a piece I'd pay over retail if it's not too much.

Bet the ADs worldwide would love that gig, they would get them in at trade from Rolex and sell at grey prices!

I’d love that, how do I become an AD?

Umm, hate to burst your bubble but more than likely the AD pays a fair amount in "local" taxes if you know what I mean...

Thanks very much!
Bluesy is +- retail European price, so that is ok. My AD says that the model is not so popular and rare as Starbucks or Classic Black Sub, that’s why price is +-MSRP. My turn has come. I've been waiting for more than 5 years.

Best looking Rolex blue dial across all models (except for the 126618LB, same dial).

The ADs worldwide do the same thing. Just more covertly. Look at the Netherlands for instance. One AD chain owns a used watch boutique 200m away from main shopping street in Amsterdam. Another AD chain owns a grey dealer that just happens to have the same legal address as the used boutique of the first dealer. You go on the ADs website and in used section they only show discontinued pieces or used under retail pieces. Go to the website of the grey dealer they show same pieces plus unworn modern pieces. If you walk into the used watch boutique of the first AD they will have all those same watches the grey dealer has. And why does the second AD agree to it? Because they do the same thing in Maastricht where now the first AD owns the grey and they own a used watch store.

At least Mercury is being honest to their clients instead of doing BS backroom deals with another ADs and hiding it. I'd take transparency over them backdooring their watches to their used boutique 200m away any day of the week.
