I found bobs to be somewhat decently priced on certain watches. Oh well

You really think so? I really hope not. People can't be that gullible if they are ready to throw that kind of money on a watch, can they? All people need do these days is to go on the Rolex website and they can find the MSRP right there.

True. Someone with more money than sense will likely scoop it up.

I don’t know what’s more absurd, the asking price or the gullible fool who buys it…

Exactly, it’s just a number. Unless you’re the one reaching for the CC to buy it.

It doesn’t have anything to do with being gullible - the retail price is obsolete for the majority of most Rolex buyers.

They are in the market of making money. If someone is willing to pay, and there might be, then why not? It's not like they're upcharging and necessities.

This. Plus some of the trusted sellers on here have the same watch for similar listing prices...

Why?

Most people buy a watch because they like it, not for it's residual value.
They will buy it, enjoy it and not think twice about the price once they have it.

Besides, the person buying that watch either knows about the current market and doesn't care or doesn't know about the current and definitely doesn't care.

How is this lunacy OP? Seems like the free market at work, if someone is willing to pay it why not price it that high if you are Bobs?

While this is the way that it should be. I don't think this is the way it is anymore with Rolex. Especially not on this forum.

I’ve just heard about the rage on this one so I started looking and found it priced higher in two other places last night. Someone is supporting this lunacy with real dollars and it will continue as long as they continue to do so. This, or any OP model is a big stretch for 10K if you ask me, but no one has yet. Wish I had a 100 of them to sell.

Forget $37K, some might argue that even MSRP is too much for this watch.

Not me, nooooooooooooooooo, I would never do that on a Rolex forum. LOL

Heck, my wife has a grape OP, because purple is her color. She even has a purple Jeep. I kid you not. When her car (BMW M240ix) got redesigned this past year and came out in a purple, she started talking about trading hers in.

But I digress.

It's the market. You can't blame Bob, you can't blame David or any other reseller. You can only blame the buyers. As soon as demand started to outstrip supply, folks should have just said "eh, the black one will be fine". And when they ran out of black ones, they should have walked over to the Omega boutique. I'm sure they'll have a limited edition of something for you there.
