Refresh my memory. Does the GMT wear smaller on the wrist than the Sub41???

It’s been awhile since I had my Pepsi on jubilee or Rootbeer on oyster but does the GMT on oyster or jubilee feel smaller on the wrist than the Sub41?? I know the case back is flatter on the GMT and the clasp is smaller but does that equate to a smaller feel on the wrist?

Yes. It wears ever so smaller due to micrometer difference in case size, lug width (20 vs 21), and as you noted flatter and smaller clasp.

I have both oyster and jubilee for my BLRO, and have owned a 12LV, and the difference is negligible but present.

Yes, id say they look and wear differently with the Sub feeling more substantial.

GMT case slightly smaller and bracelet width slimmer, both at lugs and clasp.

Plus jubilee has he optical illusion of being daintier too.

All down to personal preference, but if they upgrade the GMT to 41 ill be all over it.

The same is true for 5 digit GMT/EXP2 as well.

Sub 41 is unwearable for me, it's a brute. I have no trouble with 40mm so for me the difference is enourmous. Yes the GMT wears smaller and flatter.

The Sub has a raised case back, that for some, is not as comfortable as the GMT. The Yacht-Master is even more comfortable. I still have a GMT 116710, but sold my Sub to get a 126622.

Absolutely...and if you buy a GMT on Jubilee, it wears even smaller than it does on Oyster because the end links drop nearly straight off the lugs instead of having the protruding solid center end link of the Oyster. I have a 6.75" wrist and think the GMT on Jubilee wears like an absolute dream compared to even my 116610LV

Slightly smaller. Bracelet and lugs a little more narrow and the jubilee links are a bit slimmer. Like you said, wears flatter on the wrist too. Nothing significant and very comfortable. I think the GMT on jubilee is the perfect compliment to my 126610LV.

I’ve been wearing my BLNR for the past month straight and last night I grabbed my sub41 and it’s a pretty noticeable difference. The GMT, although there is a minimal size difference, wears so much lighter and smaller. I’ve reserved the sub for days when I’m really wanting to feel a little more heft on the wrist

Hmmm … this sounds like a GMT in your future

IMHO they wear about the same. In fact, there are times when I think the GMT wears larger because of the bezel colors and numerals

In reality, they wear about the same to me. I tried to post pictures from about the same distance.

My BLNR on a jubilee feels smaller than my 114060. It’s lighter and thinner, but dial and case length are basically the same.

My 114060 is still the best fitting watch I have. It’s perfect in terms of how it hugs my wrist. Not too tight. Not too loose. Just perfect.

I only have the 16710, and agree with this vs. my 12series subs (which I can wear just fine on my 6.75 in wrist). But the sub41s do wear (and look) just a bit "bigger"

Have both. Gmt does wear slightly smaller. My gmt is on oyster and I can notice the difference. Lugs and bracelet is more where I notice the difference.

Counter to most opinions here but I didn't notice the difference until you mentioned it.

I think the bigger difference for comfort is the smaller clasp and narrower bracelet on the gmt.

As all have said, GMT does wear smaller. My issue with the 41mm Sub is the clasp. It is massive

The big thing is the new clasp on the Sub is huge especially when compared to the GMT.

Yes on paper they aren’t that different but in practice I find the gmt wears much smaller which is nice when it’s worn with long sleeves.

for me the sub 41 wears smaller than my BLNR. I think it's the lugs for me that make the sub appear better proportioned on my wrist.

That would be interesting considering they just came out with an all new GMT variant.

I can’t respond to your question Mystro but I laughed at my expense and was thrilled at the same time you started this thread with “Refresh my memory.” I have a history of chronic migraines. I often tell people now to “refresh my memory” when I can’t specifically remember what they’ve told me, or if I’ve said something to them numerous times.

SS GMT is pretty light. But don't think sub is really all that different.

Both dainty compared to the SD43

I find it to be a fairly insignificant difference in presentation. The wider end links give the sub a bit more “presence”. Again, not much.
