5204P sells for $140k at Sotheby’s

$177,800 with fees. Ouch. Good deal for the buyer. Only impairment I noticed was that it was a “winding” box, so not the original.

Thanks for the heads up. I really like this reference. Perhaps it is the upside-down moon phase that may not appeal.

Yep market is weak alright, still some solid sales however the pool of buyers has shrunk extensively.

5204 is manual wind. It doesn't come with the old winding box or the newer PP cylinder.
