Pepsi or sprite

Hi
I have chance to purchase either Pepsi OR Sprite
Pepsi - I like the blue and red bezel
Sprite - I like the green bezel ( Rolex colour) , unique and I am not lefty
Currently I have Gold/Steel GMT , Gold/Steel Dayjust , OP41 green , Milgauss GV.
I love both . Then which one is more rare and the value which one is holding better ?
All the opinions will be appreciated
Thanks

Both are very nice watches. I have a Sprite but I wear mine on the right wrist so it makes sense to me. Would have I bought it if I wore it on the left?. Probably…it’s quirky and I like that. Right now, the Pepsi is going for about 21k and the Sprite about 19k. If I had to guess, I think the Sprite will be worth a good chunk more than the Pepsi down the road. I think Rolex released the Sprite to be a collectible just based on the language Rolex has used advertising the watch….exclusive, unexpected and so on. Again that depends if they discontinue it or not but my gut feeling is saying it will be discontinued next month. We will see.

Neither are rare. The sprite gives me a headache when I look at it. Unless you are a lefty no way could I ever recommend that one.

You're buying for value or because you like and want to wear the watch?

Pepsi will always be the icon, Sprite is the new weird variant (wildcard in terms of collectibility)

For 2 years, couple of ADs I worked with said they believed sprite will discontinue bc it’s such a weird watch for them to make. Pure speculation.

This year, they believe Pepsi will be discontinued. *♂️

If you are getting a Pepsi from an AD, take that. It is not even a question.

Or you could take the Pepsi and i will give you a brand new sprite in return! :-)

Since you like both, I would jump on the Sprite as I don’t think it’ll be available for much longer. It’s a beautiful watch. Good luck!

Even if it discontinues, it wont surge in price. Why? It's for left-handed people and Rolex will eventually either rerelease it for righties or come up with a new color anyway, but for righties.

I am left-handed and despite liking the sprite colors, I wouldnt buy it just because I wear my watch on my left hand(I use the mouse with my right hand).

Even if other models are introduced, being the first left handed production model by Rolex imo gives it a very strong collectible value. Even if others are introduced, this will always be the first. Time will tell

BLRO

The sprite, in person, is cool. But take your current watch, turn it around and put it on your left wrist. It's very awkward for everyday wear. If you are a lefty and wearing it on your right wrist, by all means go for it.

I'm a lefty and I wear my BLRO on my left wrist. I might be in the minority, but I find the left handed GMT-Master II to be a really unnecessary watch in the Rolex portfolio. I don't find that any of my watches take any significant wear and tear being on my "writing hand wrist." I've always found any left handed watch, by any brand, to be sort of useless. I'm not saying that a lefty can't or shouldn't wear a watch on their right wrist; it's just is it really that much of an inconvenience?

Most of us have long ago adapted to the right handers' world. Worst issue I ever dealth with was notebooks with ring binders and erasable pens which would smear as I wrote.

Whenever I see the xxx model vs Sprite, I get the feeling that Sprite people are the most ladder-up folks on TRF. It seems that many of them bought this watch because they felt it would’ve been discontinued by now if not in the near future, so they’re purely interested in the speculative nature of it, not how it wears.

Having watched a recent YouTube content provider, it was mentioned that the CEO of Rolex is left-handed, wears this particular model and it is dear to his heart, so my guess is it won’t be discontinued.

The colors of the Sprite are great but in no way could I wear a lefty. IF I was a lefty then I would already own a Sprite and call it a day. How could any lefty not own it is beyond me.

I had the BLRO and it wore great because it’s got a flatter case back than the Sub. That said you have to like the pastel colors of raspberry and periwinkle because that tends to show up in most lighting instead of proper red and blue. I couldn’t get use to the colors.

I've been waiting for a Sprite since it was released, I'm hopeful it will happen very soon. All this speculation on price is such a bummer, I get that we don't want to lose money buying watches we love, but as a guy who wants to keep and wear a Sprite I wish there was much less speculation. but I don't get to control that.

Well that's what buying and owning a Rolex watch should be,but today some see them as just ££$$€€ objects and little more.

Buy the watch you'll feel great wearing without regard for future rarity or value. For me, it would be the 126710BLRO hands down.

Depends how deep your collection runs and what else you have.

Generally though, the BLRO is better in a more limited collection but once you go deep, a VTNR is kind of a must-have imo due to its unique user experience.

So, start with the Pepsi and get the VTNR later.

I don't have Sprite but I wouldn't mind to have it in my collection. I think it unique and I always love Rolex with green combination.
