Now is as good a time as any to monetize it. If it was 1ct. or more - and top grade (or nearly so) then you should see a value rise. While retail pricing has doubled since 2003, you’ll be getting trade value close to what you paid.

That may sound low to you but the jeweler you deal with wants a profit when it sells later in his shop.

Some ADs deal in preowned, others will work a consignment for you, but your problem will be finding the watch you want at an AD who makes those types of deals.

There are a few trusted sellers here on TRF that will accept GIA graded 1ct. and up diamonds in trade for a watch they are selling.
