I was at my AD today. Cases totally empty. This was the first time I was at my AD and there wasn’t even so much as a lady Datejust or Cellini in the case.

In today’s political climate, If the owner shoots anyone he can be on trial for a whole list of charges. It’s a crazy world where criminal rights trumps those of law abiding citizens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We were at Bal Harbor Shops down in FL recently. We had to wait to enter the Goyard store. They were keeping the door locked and only allowing 2, maybe 3 customers in at a time. The man at the door looked more like a bouncer than a concierge
The door at the Rolex store was open. Imagine criminals stealing the display only pieces with no movements and getting caught. Oh the irony |

In some city is not "against the law to steal less than $800" - ie they will not arrest you- no wonder people are getting more bold-

Can someone please explain how we’ve arrived to this level of law and order? |

It’s sad that the 10-40 perpetrators are almost never caught. I doubt a single person who gets his watch stolen would get any justice in our current climate.

In Saudi Arabia, the punishment for theft is amputation of the right hand. A law like that would definitely deter some of these thieves in the U.S. imagine the stigma of walking around without a hand. Everyone is going to know your crime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Rolex watch are very popular and easy to sell on the web. It makes sense to hide them away with all the theft that is endemic.

I recall a pretty serious spate of them orchestrated by a highly organized criminal element throughout Southern California a few years ago. AD’s in South Coast Plaza, Century City Mall (pre-facelift) we’re amongst those hit.

And so the crime rate rises . . . and increased physical dangers to the rest of us too. There was a story out of California just last night on the news about the severity of these smash and grabs in various cities on the U.S. west coast. The stolen goods are being moved quite a ways away (states away) to be sold. Big time, well organized criminal activity. Rant over.

You’d have to work in law enforcement in Saudi also in order to make that an informed judgement. If you are referring to sharia law, then I am against it. Since you’ve worked in law enforcement, care to give us one good solution in how to stop these smash and grab or the looting in some of our cities? It’s getting to be unsafe for the law abiding citizens and business owners in these cities. I can tell you that nothing take precedence over the safety of my family and I will do anything to ensure that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk on |

This is a far deeper problem than just Rolex or random burglaries. There appears to be a growing disrespect for civility, rule of law, the judicial process, the growing presence of Antifa in our cities, and similar anarchy like behavior in response to events that special interest groups disagree with.

I was in NYC a few months ago and there were 20-30 ATV and dirt bike riders doing stunts in traffic. They were blocking traffic preventing people from passing through. One motorist got frustrated and honked at them and in retaliation they kicked his car. The police didn’t do anything to stop them.

Yup. Happens all the time in Philadelphia. And if you were to accidentally hit one of them because they don’t adhere to any traffic laws (or any law for that matter) you’ll be doxxed, marched on, and probably fired from your job. This can't go on forever unchecked - Trump would have never let it get this far.
