nah. there might be reasons why nautilus was unloved and then loved.
i cannot find any reasons to justify the love for this lange... the dial seems like a mix and match of other models, although the materials seem legit... |

I love this watch. I went in to the Lange boutique yesterday morning, looked at it, tried it on and practically begged them to sell me one. OK, I actually begged.

This watch needs to be seen in the metal,
I think though that the pushers break the symmetry of the watch, where it is wider on the right side. They could have made the pusher as crown guards, that would have given a nicer balance to the watch, IMHO. I may change my mind when I have it in my hand, I hated the code 11:59 when I saw the ad, and confirmed that when I saw it in real. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You don't have to call me a beggar but it certainly would be appropriate. The saddest part is that I'm not convinced it got me anywhere. I may have debased myself for naught.

Far better than the nautilus. Sorry the nautilus coasts on name recognition alone and I find the design wholly boring. The Lange is far more legible and this more useful for what it will be doing mainly (telling time/date in situations that really don’t involve any actual sports but like to look like a sport watch).

Sooo... you bought it or they have one there just for people to look at it ? Heading there today and curious what to expect . Was hoping they would have one to try on as I’m skeptical of the lugs and bracelet “integration” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

They have a fully functional model to try on. I went there to explain to them that, based on the pictures, I didn't think I wanted it but wanted to give it a look, anyway. I departed after urging them to take my deposit, which they declined to do.

Undoutedly. Will you be able to show your face there again? FWIW, a little birdie told me that ADs won’t be getting allocations of the Odysseus until April next year, so, for the time being, the limited production will be earmarked for the Boutiques only. In that respect then, you’ve plenty of time to redeem yourself, in their eyes… although you probably weren’t the only one to have done it, not that that’s any sort of comfort. |

The issue is not when the watches arrive for delivery, which could be whenever, it's how soon the allocations are determined that really matters. |

Highly unlikely of course...but even King Nautilus didn't exactly take the world by storm on day one. |

Looking at the wrist comparo with the 5711, I don’t think I’m even gonna bother to try it on. The Nautilus is not a small watch, but the Odysseus looks far larger. Crucially the lug-to-lug looks relatively enormous, so it definitely won’t wrap around my demure, some would say ‘girly’ wrists. The Nautilus is still the only one of the current crop that will fit.
God damn it. He doesn’t want me to get a new sports watch at all... |

I have girly wrists too, and got an aquanaut, which suits my boyish wrist quite nicely.

I like the Lange and agree that the bracelet is a little too wide. I already have a Nautilus and Royal Oak so I don’t think I will spend 28K for this piece.
