AD mentioned not to resize bracelet on my own as they put some sort of liquid adhesive/gel to keep the screws in place...is this true?

Yes, they use Loctite on the threads. You can do this at home, use Loctite 222.

Yes, I believe that is correct. If I remember correctly, Rolex recommends Locktite. I cannot remember if they use the Red or the Blue. One comes apart easier.

I would recommend not letting an AD do anything but sell you the watch. They are very good at damaging screw heads and generally messing up a very simple job.

Locktite 222 is available on Amazon, among other places.

Yes and my AD appears to use a "warmer" to heat the area around each screw before putting screw-driver to screw. And they (hopefully) choose the appropriately-sized screwdrivers ... but they occasionally have been known to bung up screw heads.

Red loctite is perm, do not use red. Use the blue

Purple locktite (222 I believe) is the one that you need, do not use red or blue.

Buy a quality screwdriver and loctite others have recommended, you can loosen the old loctite with some heat. You can do a better job than AD or same in worst case scenario.
