Nice conservative pieces, but nothing to get too excited about.

Jump hour hand on a non-GMT watch. Interesting. That woman’s piece is a winner.

Nice simple pieces. However, they pretty much look the same.

![]() The Omega 8500 movement has a jump hour feature but no quick set date. I doubt the GS 9F85 will have a quick set date. No matter, I think it's a super useful feature and I'd love to see more watch makers incorporate it. Randy |

Renders often never look good from GS, can expect the watch to look much nicer in the metal. That said, can't escape the fact it does look rather underwhelming from their usual releases.

I like the way these are shaping up. 60th anniversary is an important anniversary and these releases all call upon different milestones since GS was born. It's good to keep the classic elements like Grammar of Design and the revolutionary approach to movements like the high beat/quartz as center focus without resorting to crazy dials for this type of celebration imo. Less is more.

SBGH281 Hi-Beat (€6200) looks nice. Simple and elegant dial, fast movement.
Here's a pic of the back. ![]()

I like them and will take a look when my AD gets them but will probably not make a purchase on these watches.

Anyone found any non stock photos. Seems weird to not release any “real pics” of these. The sport 9F looks interesting.

I'm kind of digging the sports 9F also. That ceramic bezel is an intriguing touch.

Grand Seiko is even more conservative than rolex when it comes to change.

In a quartz watch, I think the lack of quick-set date is pretty much a non-issue .... the wearer would only be setting the date 5 days a year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I will reserve full judgement until I see real pictures and not renderings, but these are about as exciting as a piece of notebook paper.
I also really dislike how they put graphics on the display back. It looks way to cluttered to have the graphics plus the movement visible. |

![]() These are okay but not outstanding. If there are more releases expected then we can hope they're better. I like the SBGP015 but wish it was an auto... and green. There are better blue offerings already. |

I'm a bit relieved that I won't feel compelled to buy one of these. I'm sure they'll make something later this year that will make me reach for the wallet.

Yes, am amazed it is thicker than my old Patek 3970er, and that is nicknamed 'the hamburger' due to case dimensions. To be fair, it's also a grand complication with perpetual calendar, chrono, and moonphase, whereas Seiko Hi-Beat is just day. Wow, didn't realize Seiko made it that thick for what's basically a non-complication movement, so thanks for pointing that out.
