Great work!
Thanks for sharing. The owner did justice to the watch in the sense that it wore the hell out of it.....but never polished it. Shame about the water damage, but still a beauty!

What a beauty, brought back from the brink! Sad that it was neglected it for so long. How did the bottom edges of the dial turn out from the earlier pic, where it appeared the crystal let some moisture enter? Except for those areas on the pre-work pic, the rest of the dial looked very nice.

Cool watch, and great work on it. I'm assuming the busted sections of the rotor bound between the rotor and the automatic winding bridge plate and caused that galling?
Did you consider sourcing a replacement bridge plate and rotor? Looks like a basic 1575 movement, so anyone with an Rolex parts account should be able to source replacements (i.e. rotor and 1570-marked bridge plate). |

In my view, a replacement rotor is a good preventative maintenance idea. The bridge plate, on the other hand, is just a cosmetic item. |

I would agree that changing the rotor would of been better, but my clients have full control on what I do.

It's hard too imagine that beautiful dial lived underneath that dirty case & crystal!
A stunner indeed. |

Oh I wish I found this one, but it was a friend of mine who did. The watch was purchased at the PX in Vietnam in which the dad passed it down to his son. After many years of it not running, the son took it in to a jewelry store where it was then sold.

Per what the owner said, it stopped working around a decade ago...not sure how he wore it before than with the crystal being the way it is.
