Rolex Explorer II 216570 - New Movement

Hi TRF,

Just been pondering this possibility.

When/If the current Rolex Explorer II 216570 with the 3187 movement gets a revamp with possibly a New 70 hour power reserve movement based on possibly the Calibre 3285 ?

By the way I think this will be its only upgrade with no case or bezel changes.

Could if this change takes place turn it into a More popular and desirable model.

Sort of "Plain Jane into a Luscious Lucy" lol.

Not sure, the movement in the exp ii is a strong one. I think they will leave it alone, and hope they don’t put a ceramic bezel in it, which would move it away from the tool watch heritage. The case is a bit larger too, and if they did decide to adapt that movement may encounter some challenges.
