Her first Rolex - 36 Blue Explorer???

Our local AD just opened back up and I wanted to stop in and say hello.

I brought my girl friend and of course the Rolex cases were almost completely empty.

But she noticed this Blue Dial Oyster Perpetual and we both really liked it. She has been wonderful to me during this quarantine time so I thought why not! She was thrilled.

As the night went on it finally dawned on me why I like the watch so much. It has an Explorer I dial.

She comes to me today and she gave me a little knowledge I never knew. It's the only 36mm or 39mm Oyster to have this dial.

Very cool piece.

Wow. Looks like 43mm on her wrist!

Nice job.

I got my wife a blue OP39. Great value and it's no big deal if it gets scratched a bit.

It’s actually only the 34mm and the 36mm OPs that have this dial. I own the 34mm and the numerals are only solid white gold and there’s no lume. It’s an incredible watch.

A beautiful piece. I would say it is too big for her, however. The lugs are practically hanging over the ends of her wrist.

This. Maybe OP should have her try the 34mm version.

Looks like she is wearing Daddy's watch....but if she digs it that is all that matters.

Very nice dial indeed... i been looking at this model as well. You can even do a Mercedes hands mod to make it look even more sporty.

Not too big

If you've seen what some of the female celebrities are wearing, it's definitely not too big.

Agree and love the look of a larger watch on a lady’s wrist. Nice job!

Looks great. My wife likes larger than her wrist watches as well because she thinks the lady sized 28-34mm are too girly.

The made up watch fashion rules that apply to some OCD men do not apply to women.

34mm would probably fit better. Love the blue color tho!

Beautiful watch. However, it’s too big on her wrist.
