Daytona waterproof question
I have searched the threads and could not find an answer so apologies for another mind numbing lockdown question...
On setting and winding my ceramic Daytona I left the crown ‘open’ but not the pushers. I have cleaned / showered with my Daytona on since then. All ok and nothing to worry about? All looks fine from the outside! |

I'm sure it's fine, but in the future get in the habit of screwing that crown down.

Winding down the crown does keep you from pushing laterally on the crown and stem where you may distort the o-rings and let water in. However, that isn't a normal thing that happens. On a watch with good, sound seals, leaving the crown unscrewed, by itself, will not let any water in to your watch. ![]()

Daytona has a triplock crown. even when unscrewed it is still sealed. You're good. https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-bl...ifference.html

Thanks Larry and ‘Droolex’. Appreciate your replies.
I laugh at some of these ‘can i was my hands with a sub on’ threads but i was worrying and did not want it to occupy my mind on my 51st birthday. Thanks for putting my mind at rest. |
